This research aims to demonstrate the existence of the tradition of grave
pilgrimage, which is carried out on the Sixth Day (Aghi Ayo Onam) of the 8th of
Shawwal. Data collection was conducted through interviews. Participants were
asked about the process of practicing the grave pilgrimage that they had
practiced. The results of the study show that there are pros and cons to this
tradition. The tradition of grave pilgrimage has taken place naturally in the
community for generations, both from the family itself and the local community
in general. Some scholars view this pilgrimage to the grave as permissible or
permissible, but some groups do not agree or prohibit this tradition. This study
is limited to the perspective of Islamic Faith and has not touched on issues
related to other perspectives. It is hoped that at another time, there will be
researchers who have the initiative to continue this study.
